Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) rule 5101:2-48-05 "Agency Adoption and Recruitment Plan," requires agencies to update their written policy to reflect new requirements contained in Chapter 5101:2-48 of the OAC and submit it to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) within 30 days following the policy change. Due to the amendments of various OAC rules, ODJFS is extending the due date for agencies to submit their adoption policies until February 1, 2010 to ensure amendments made to adoption polices are effective.

Please use this time to ensure your agency written policy is in compliance with the amended rules and resubmit your policies by February 1, 2010.
