This letter transmits Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) rules
governing the adult protective services (APS) program that have been revised in
order to comply with Am. Sub. S.B. 158 of the 132nd G.A. The following is a
brief explanation of the changes.
The amended rule OAC 5101:2-20-02 entitled
"Ohio database for adult protective services (ODAPS)"
sets forth the requirements for the collection and submission of APS data in the
ODAPS system. This rule has been amended to update references to the Revised
Code.
The amended rule OAC 5101:2-20-04
entitled "Adult protective services case records"
sets forth the requirements for developing and maintaining case records for
each adult referred to the APS program. This rule has been amended to update
references to the Revised Code.
The amended rule OAC 5101:2-20-06
entitled "The county adult protective services
memorandum of understanding" sets forth the requirements for the
County Department of Job and Family Services (CDJFS) and their designated
agencies when creating a memorandum of understanding. This rule has been
amended to update the agencies who are required to sign the memorandum.
INSTRUCTIONS: The following chart identifies the material that
needs to be removed from and inserted into the Family Children and Adult
Service Manual (FCASM).
