SUBJECT: New Rule OAC 5101:2-40-10 Ohio Kinship and Adoption Navigator (OhioKAN) Program

This letter transmits new rule OAC 5101:2-40-10 which will be effective October 1, 2020.

OAC 5101:2-40-10 entitled Ohio kinship and adoption navigator (OhioKAN) program provides eligibility and program information about Ohio’s new adoption and kinship navigator program, which has been developed in response to the Family First Prevention Services Act and requirements in sections 5101.851 through 5101.856 of the Ohio Revised Code.  This rule describes navigation services that are available to kinship caregivers and families and post-adoptive parents and families.

INSTRUCTIONS:

The following chart depicts what materials should be deleted from the Family, Children and Adult Services Manual (FCASM) and what materials are to be inserted in the FCASM.
