The Ohio Department of Medicaid will issue 3.5 million of state
funding to public assistance agencies. With
this $3.5 million, counties can generate up to $14 million in total spending if
the funds are used to pay for eligible activities such as salary, fringe
benefits and other costs for personnel engaged in determining Medicaid
eligibility within the Ohio Benefits and ancillary systems.
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) will
issue this funding as a new allocation.
Expenditures will be claimed to the new SFY22 Medicaid Special
Projects allocation through the post-allocated adjustment (PAA) process.
Expenditures will be moved from Medicaid Income Maintenance to the new allocation.
ODJFS will communicate the funding period and liquidation period
through the county finance information system (CFIS).
