TO: Fiscal Administrative Procedure Manual Holders
FROM: Matt Damschroder, Director
SUBJECT: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Administration American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funding

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services is excited to announce an incentive to our partners at the county department of job and family services (CDJFS).  As of August 1, 2022, Ohio’s 30-day application timeliness rate is 96.70% for Federal Fiscal Year 2022.

To celebrate this achievement, the department is providing $5,123,104 of SNAP America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding as incentive funding to all eighty-eight (88) CDJFS agencies.

The funding is available immediately as cash and is considered earned at time of receipt. There are no further restrictions on the use of the funding and will not be considered federal funds but "local dollars."

ODJFS distributes funds to the County Departments of Job and Family Service (CDJFS) agencies using the methodology outlined in current Administrative Code Rule 5101:9-6-05 "Income Maintenance Allocations" paragraph (D).

The CDJFS receipts in the incentive using JFSFA163-471000.
