Background
Pursuant to Section 307.90 of Amended Substitute House Bill 110
of the 134th General Assembly, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services
(ODJFS) was allocated $25 million to be used for youth currently in the custody
of a public children services agency (PCSA) or to prevent children from
entering into the custody of a PCSA by custody relinquishment or another
mechanism. The language also requires ODJFS to adopt a rule in accordance with
section 111.15 of the Revised Code to administer the funding.
Updates
Ohio Administrative Code rule 5101:2-54-01, Multi System Youth,
has been updated with the following changes: (B)(1) was updated with current
allocations, (B)(2) has been amended to reflect each State Fiscal Year (SFY)
2022 and 2023 allocations, (B)(3) has been amended to remove evaluation as it
was part of the previous biennium allocation, (B)(4) has been amended to
reflect current allocations, (B)(5) has been amended to reflect current
allocations, (B)(6) has been amended to reflect the current allocation along
with the addition of the intention of use of pooled funds to prevent custody
relinquishment, and (B)(7) was added to reflect new allocations for
environmental scan.
