This letter transmits amendment of Ohio Administrative Code
(OAC) rule 5101:2-9-42 to align with a new assessment rule and to require
documentation in a new information system. The following is a brief explanation
of the rule that is effective October 1, 2021.
OAC 5101:2-9-42 entitled Qualified Residential Treatment Program sets forth the definition
and requirements for residential facilities to become a certified and
accredited Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP). The rule has
been amended to reference OAC 5101:2-42-12 to require an assessment within 30
days of placement of a child in a QRTP, and to require documentation within the
Residential Treatment Information System (RTIS).
INSTRUCTIONS:
The following chart indicates the material that should be
removed from the Family Children and Adult Service Manual (FCASM) and the
materials that are to be inserted in the FCASM.
