This letter transmits amended rules as a result of recently revised forms for licensed child care centers. These rules will be effective on March 1, 2009.

The following is a summary of the rule amendments:

Rule 5101:2-12-04 Application and Issuance of Initial Licenses for Child Care Centers has been amended to change the revision date of the JFS 01210 and the JFS 01250 and to clarify language.

Rule 5101:2-12-05 License Fees and Notification Requirements for Licensed Child Care Centers has been amended to change the revision date of the JFS 01210.

Rule 5101:2-12-06 Procedures for renewal of a ChildCareCenter License has been amended to change the revision date of the JFS 01210. Language regarding the license renewal requirements regarding penalties and procedures for failing to submit the application in a timely manner has been revised.

The electronic version of the Child Care Center Manual is located at: http://emanuals.jfs.ohio.gov. The manual contains all rules and transmittal letters that the department has issued to licensed child care centers. A current version of this manual should be accessible and utilized by all providers in all licensed child care centers.
