SUBJECT: Responsibilities of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Fiscal Agents

As the result of a five-year rule review, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) has amended Administrative Code rule 5101:9-7-05 "Responsibilities of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Fiscal Agents." Changes include: 

  • Clarification that the WIOA fiscal agent must submit written communication of all fiscal related monitoring reviews to the local area or sub-area whether or not there are any audit findings;
  • The WIOA fiscal agent must continue to monitor continuous improvement plans when there are audit findings to ensure the implementation of corrective action steps; and
  • Minor language updates.
