(A)A residential
parenting facility or crisis care facility shall not be integrated as a part of
another children's residential center (CRC) or group home. A residential
parenting facility or crisis care facility shall be a self-contained facility.
The mixing of the differing populations is prohibited.
(B)Each
residential parenting facility shall assure the availability of a program for
each minor mother or expectant minor mother in
residence which teaches parenting skills either individually or in a group setting.
The facility's plan for the provision of such a program shall be presented for
approval to ODJFS prior to initial certification.
(C)A minor mother or expectant minor mother residing in a residential
parenting facility shall meet at least one of the following requirements:
(1)Enrolled in
school on a full-time basis during the school year or working towards a general
educational development (GED) certificate.
(2)Employed in a
full-time job or documentation of actively seeking employment, if she has
completed their education plan, which may include receipt of a GED certificate.
(3)Enrolled in
school on a part-time basis or working towards a GED certificate and employed
in a part-time job or documentation of actively seeking employment, during the
school year.
(D)Any school aged
child residing in a residential parenting facility or crisis care facility
shall be enrolled in school during the school year.
(E)If a minor mother or expectant minor
mother, who is a current resident of the residential parenting facility,
reaches eighteen years of age, the facility may allow the resident to remain at
the facility until age nineteen.
